Kim was born in Michigan, and moved to Florida as a teenager. Although she never considered herself as athletic in school, she was a starting forward on her high school basketball team during her junior and senior year.

Kim lived in the Tampa area for many years, raised 3 children, pursued a career in Nursing, and completed her Masters of Science in Nurse Anesthesia in January of 2008. In September of 2012, work brought Kim to the Ocala area. Not knowing anyone, she decided to check out a local CrossFit gym to see what all the buzz among her out of state friends was about. Kim registered for the fundamentals course at CrossFit Pinnacle, and never left. She loves competing in local competitions both as an individual and on teams. Competing keeps her motivated, and keeps her pushing to be a better athlete than she was the day before.

Kim decided to obtain her Level 1 CrossFit Trainer certification as well as her Eat to Perform Nutrition Coach certification.  Through CrossFit, she had developed a passion for health and nutrition and had a strong desire to help others reach their own health and fitness goals. CrossFit gave her the opportunity to go after those dreams.

In September 2016, Kim was given the opportunity to take over ownership and operation of CrossFit Pinnacle. Although Kim loves and continues working her full-time job as a Nurse Anesthetist, her passion truly lies in helping and watching others accomplish health and fitness goals that they never thought possible before CrossFit. She is excited to take on this new adventure, and can’t wait to see what great things are in store for her and the entire CrossFit Pinnacle family!

I was first introduced to Crossfit when I found out a few of my firefighter
friends were doing it at the firehouse, and needless to say I was hesitant
on giving it a shot. I was into the whole "globo gym Routine" and thought
what could this new exercise do for me? Sure enough as my friends
decided to open up their own Crossfit gym I tried it out and go figure
I got whooped! Instantly I was hooked, maybe because of my natural
competitive nature, but I knew there was no other workout program out
there that would give me the result I wanted in the shortest time possible.
Fast-forward a few years later and not only am I still training at the same
Crossfit gym, Crossfit Pinnacle, but I've been coaching there for over 3
years and I'm stronger, faster, and continuing to make strides in my fitness
levels. Not only am I achieving goals of mine that I did not think were
possible, but I get to have a positive influence in so many peoples lives
and watch them achieve and break through personal goals everyday!!

I’m born and raised in Ocala, FL and have always been surrounded by athletics. I’ve played Soccer, baseball, basketball, football, tennis, and running competitively throughout my life. I was fortunate to have an active mom that started my running very young that set the tone for everything else that followed. I’ve coached several different football, basketball, and soccer teams for youth sports as I have 5 beautiful kids that need my expertise (LOL)! In 2011 I found myself sitting inside a Sonny’s BBQ watching these 2 guys discussing their gym to one another as I ease dropped in full attention. Shortly after I decided to test the waters out myself and drop in to their gym (Crossfit Pinnacle). I knew after the first 20 minutes I was absolutely destroyed and wanted more!! The structure behind the workouts and the programming was immediately addicting! I found myself struggling in many areas but at the same time excelling in others. This became a serious part of my life and the way I plan my daily eating, sleeping, and schedule to make CERTAIN I made time for this daily event. This was exactly what I had been looking for! I decided to start interning in early 2014 so that I could explore the benefits of coaching crossfit as well as to benefit from seeing others succeed in this amazing sport. I can’t express enough how much this has changed my life for the better. I feel like you can’t afford to not take an investment in your health and why not at an affiliate Crossfit gym like Crossfit Pinnacle.

I was introduced to CrossFit from a fellow Firefighter while on shift. I was completely unprepared for the challenge I was accepting. I had worked out with a typical gym routine for several years and always felt in relatively good shape. My first CrossFit experience literally brought me to my knees. I knew after that experience that I wanted more, and I wanted to be good at it. As a Firefighter I knew this kind of training and conditioning would be ideal to keep me prepared for my line of work. I have been dedicated to this sport ever since. After a year or so of CrossFit I decided to get certified and become a coach. To this day I love encouraging people in this sport.

I was first introduced to CrossFit in early 2010 by some fellow coworkers of the Fire Dept. It was about 60 seconds in when I realized that this was no ordinary workout. Being always active in exercise and fitness I found that I immediately had a passion for CrossFit. CrossFit Pinnacle opened up just a few months later and I've been a member ever since. Wanting to pursue CrossFit even more I attended the CrossFit Level 1 trainer course. I began coaching in February of 2012 to help members achieve their goals and hone the skills of CrossFit. In the past years it has been great watching Crossfit Pinnacle grow, hopefully I will continue to contribute to its growth and success for more years to come.

I was Born and raised In Brooklyn New York and moved to Ocala Fl when I was a teenager, I’m a Father, a Firefighter, and a CrossFitter. CrossFit was something done at fire stations all over Marion County. It is the best known training regime for firemen, law enforcement, and Military. I still use it to this day with my own crew, it is a great way to increase the work capacity of my firemen and creates a great camaraderie between all of us. I have been a member of CrossFit Pinnacle since the doors opened in 2010 I’ve watched it grow from a small garage gym to one of the most innovative gyms in Ocala, and I have a passion for our gym and its members. Since starting CrossFit I’ve smashed all my fitness goals and I am in the best shape of my life. I’ve been a lieutenant /Firefighter/paramedic with Marion county fire rescue for 13 years and teaching and coaching is something I do on a daily basis. Coaching has not only helped me improve my own fitness goals but has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my Career. I’m so glad to be a part the CFP family and can’t wait to see what the future brings.

“Nasty Girls”

I am originally from the small town of Seminole, FL, growing up just a short bike ride away from the Gulf shore. I love being outside and participated in many athletic activities and competitive sports throughout my youth, such as soccer, softball, swimming, running, and pole vaulting. My passion for swimming led to several years of teaching swim lessons and coaching the youth program with my swim club. When I got to college I joined the rugby club and went on to play at regional and select-side levels for 13 years, coaching throughout the last six. I continued to recreationally and competitively swim and participate in Master’s meets and triathlons as my main fitness focus over the years.

In 2011, a rugby teammate introduced me to CrossFit in Gainesville, FL where I learned the basic movements and also learned, contrary to my own belief, how terribly out of shape I was. Training only swimming got me good at one thing… swimming! When it came to any other type of strength and conditioning activities I couldn’t last long. I was determined to ramp up my fitness and try to be the best athlete I could be.

When I moved to Ocala in 2011, I joined a friend at CrossFit Pinnacle for “Bring A Friend” day. I was sore for two weeks, but was instantly hooked. I loved to swim, but CrossFit challenged me in ways swimming never had. There is always a different skill or technique to work on, different metabolic pathways to exercise, and workouts always differing in time and intensity. This variety keeps me interested and prevents my body from adapting to any one modality, yet constantly challenging it to get stronger and faster. Also, I realized that I greatly missed the team sport dynamic of the soccer/softball/rugby culture. The CrossFit community has more than filled that void for me. I’ve never found a more dedicated, inspiring, supportive group of people to keep me accountable and motivated to stay after my fitness goals. Along with an internal drive of my own, I find that the camaraderie and motivation from my teammates is the missing link which pushes me to challenge myself more than I would as an individual.

I got CrossFit Level 1 Trainer certified in July 2013 and began interning with CrossFit Pinnacle in January 2014. I have primarily coached the Fundamentals (aka "CrossFit 101", aka “Fundys”) program each month since then and find great satisfaction in helping light that fire inside of people to commit to their fitness goals and lead a more healthy life. I hope to continue to be a part of the Pinnacle family and help others find the same passion I have found for this great sport.

I was born and raised in Oostburg, WI and moved to Belleview, FL with my husband in December of 2015.

My Crossfit journey started at Crossfit Eastern Ridge in Sheboygan, WI when my husband and I dropped in during the Crossfit Open of 2014.  We were both instantly hooked and haven't looked back since.  I've always lived an active lifestyle and used to be a long distance runner as well as doing the whole "globo gym routine" before finding Crossfit.

Crossfit is exactly what I needed. Being naturally competitive, I enjoy pushing myself daily and being pushed by others.  I love the fact that Crossfit provides real results and never gets boring.  The friendly atmosphere and people make it fun even if the workouts are mentally and physically challenging.

I became a member of Crossfit Pinnacle the day after moving to Florida and absolutely love the gym and the people.  I decided to take the Crossfit Level 1 trainer course in October of 2016, and started coaching soon after.   Crossfit has changed my life for the better in so many ways and I find satisfaction in sharing my knowledge of the sport and encouraging people to live a healthier lifestyle and set fitness goals.

I began Crossfit when a friend convinced me join to her at a ladies only bootcamp at Crossfit Pinnacle.  While I was athletic as a teenager it had been quite a while since I had been consistent for a week.  The first class I attended was a couple of days before  Easter. I was so sore I had to toss the eggs to hide them because nothing else was an option.  I had tried dozens of fitness program from a regular globo gym, Zumba and every home video program I came across. I became bored and I quit.  After a few weeks I learned that not only was the program helping my physical health it was also a great outlet for the stress I have from my day job.

Nearly 5 years later and I still make it to the gym for a workout on average 5 days a week.  Crossfit is varied enough to keep me from being bored and the community is like no other.  If I were to be absent from the gym for more than a day or two I am guaranteed to receive multiple calls or emails.  The members of Crossfit Pinnacle have become my family.  I care very deeply for the people here that I interact with regularly.

In the Spring of 2016 I took the Crossfit Level 1 trainer course with no real expectation to use it for anything more than my own education.  It was a lot of fun and opened the door for me to help out with the fundamentals class and eventually with the regular Crossfit classes.  I enjoy coaching and look forward to helping members however I can whether I am wearing the coach shirt or working out alongside you.
